Well you've waited a long time for a release so I'm going to give you one! It was going to be one of the private beta test releases but due to reasons I'll tell you in a moment I've decided to open it to everyone:

Its basically just a copy of what is on my harddisk at the moment, so there will be a few bugs and missing ships. It is however a great laugh to play even as it is! Have fun! :)
Now to the reason for this release.
I'm going back to university today to enter the final year of a Physics degree which means I no longer have the time to continue modding. To cut a long story short I am leaving the mod and handing it over to my good friend TheBlessedSheridan to carry on the work. I'm sure he will make a good project leader and take the mod to new heights.
So this is a sad farewell for me, thank you all for the encouraging emails and support, without your support there would be no mod.

Hi all, sorry for not posting any news recently, I've been very busy with real life things. Anyway I'm back and I've updated the progress page. Now I know it doen't look like much has changed, this is because I've been doing jobs on the mod that arn't listed on the progress page, mainly rescaling and fixing all the minbari models. Rest assured the progress page will be changing pretty quickly over then next few days :)
Now on to that thing I said I had for you!
I got a little fed up of rescaleing and retexturing ships so I took a break from that to make a short b5tc intro movie go here to download it:

Two things...
1. The current Music release I just made has a bug in it which means none of you can hear any of the new tracks. I had intended to fix this bug tonite and release a patch, but then I realized I don't have my Homeworld CD, so I can't get the source files or run the game to make sure I have done it right. Be patient... I will get it fixed once I get my CD back.
2. Begust, community programmer, has done up a new tool called WinBig, which is for compiling your own .big files without having to use the biggie program. The file is hosted locally and will be added to the files page before long.

This release contains 8 tracks from the B5 game that was cancelled by Sierra back in 1999. They replace multiplayer skirmish music, but not any ingame stuff that I am aware of.
Also, if anyone at HWU or RN could copy these files to their servers to act as mirrors (or anyone else for that matter), please do so and e-mail me the links. I will get them posted up here.
A HWC compatible version will follow before long. Until then,

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I've been too busy to do much mod related work. I should have a lot of free time shortly to carry on with mod work.
As a number of you may have noticed the boards are down, I've been informed that it won't be very long until they are back up. Admin is sorting it out right now.
A further problem is my poxy email account! It seems to have temporarily packed in so anyone who has emailed me recently (within the last week) please be patient, I'm not ignoring you! Again I've been told that the problem should be sorted out fairly soon.
Anyway mod news: I've been thinking about releaseing an early beta version of the mod, unbalanced, including only EA. You have all waited a long time for the next mod release so I think I should give you something to tide you over until the full mod is complete. Once r1 (EA) is completed, which will be soon I'll have a good think about it.
The progress page will be updated shortly aswell as I have added 2 more EA ships and done a lot more tweaking of the other ships. I'll post in the news when its updated.

Hi all, I was away for a little longer than I expected, sorry about that! Anyway down to business...
I've finally got my ftp access back so I have moved the progress page onto the firstones server, please update your bookmarks! The link to the progress page is on the left side in the mod section. The progress page has been updated to include the p# races (the non-buildable homeworld races), so now all I have to do is add the map and effects sections of the list.
With ftp access I can finally update the site a little, I'm not going to make big changes, rather just little tweaks and updates. The screenshot section is going to recieve an overhall as it is very out of date, so I guess I'll have to take a few screenies for you ;)
I am also looking for homeworld modellers and mappers, if you have a decent amount of experience and you want to join the team please email me at cnlpepper@mailandnews.com.

As drazi said I have taken up the reigns of the mod, with theblessedsheridan. Drazi has sent me all the mod source data and I am in the process of assembling a new release. As I've been recieveing a great many messages asking when the mod will be out I have decided to create a progress page for the mod. On this page you can see the things that are still left to do before the B5TC is released. At the moment I still don't have access to the sites ftp server so I have uploaded the page to my personal website, the page can be found here:

The page is not yet complete as I have yet to add the p# races to the list aswell as a misc. section. This page will be updated as often as possible. I will only release the mod when all the red boxes and a few yellow boxes are gone.
As there are a few extra models and effects such as the jumppoint being added to this release I have decided to bump the version number, you are now waiting for the Homeworld:B5TC v3.5! I'm hoping I should have most of the work for this release done in 2-4 weeks (aslong as real life doesn't get in the way...)

The last 20 months or so have been a great ride. However, I have decided to resign my position with FirstOnes and my leadership of this project. In my absence, Cnl Pepper is taking over the project. I have every confidence that he is up to the task and that you will be seeing some spectacular releases in the near future.
